Aurore de La Morinerie 'Les Rayons et les Ombres (Light and Shadow)'
EventsA work by Aurore de La Morinerie will be featured in Empreintes océaniques (Oceanic Traces), an exhibition marking the opening of the 21st edition of Le Mois de la France à Yokohama (French Month in Yokohama).
Held at the open waterfront venue Zou-no-Hana Terrace, the exhibition presents works by artists connected to France who have embarked on scientific expeditions aboard the Tara Ocean Foundation’s research vessel, Tara. Alongside photographic works by researcher and visual artist Laure Winants, who is based in Belgium and France, Aurore de La Morinerie will present Les Rayons et les Ombres (Light and Shadow), a series of monotypes created with watercolor and ink. Inspired by journeys across the Mediterranean, the works evoke seascapes and the diverse elements that compose the marine environment.
Bringing together photography, science, environmental awareness, and art, the exhibition resonates with the themes of GREEN×EXPO 2027 and the Yokohama Triennale, both of which will take place in Yokohama in the coming year.
We warmly invite you to visit the exhibition if you are in the area.
