Ryudai TAKANO

鷹野隆大

Born 1963 in Fukui. Has been publishing his photographs since 1994. In 2006, he received the 31st Kimura Ihei Award for his photo book In My Room. Themed on sexuality, his photographs expose inter-human relationships by depicting the naked body. His works have been featured in numerous exhibitions in Japan and abroad, including “Reclining Woo-Man” (2000), “Common Sense” (’05), and the group shows “Kiss in the Dark: Contemporary Japanese Photography” (2000), “Nichijo no hembo (everyday transformations)” (’04) among others, and are included in the collections of the Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Photography and The Japan Foundation. Photo books include In My Room (’05), Ryudai Takano 1993-1996 (’06), How to contact a man (’09), and The Declaration of Photo-Secession Tokyo (’14).
